An Interactive Voice Response will help you carry out your transactions by providing simple, easy-to-follow instructions. If you need help during the call, you can press the '*' key at any time for automated help including having information repeated or returning to the main menu. You can also talk to our professional customer service representatives for assistance, choosing this option from the ‘Bank Account Services’ main menu.
A unique Phone Banking Number (PBN) and personal identification number (PIN) will be issued to enable you to use the service. Your account can only be activated by keying in both the correct PBN and PIN.
Both our automated Phone Banking services as well as our customer service representatives are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Besides the above services offered to registered customers, non-registered customers can also access the following Phone Banking services without a PBN or PIN by calling our 24-hour service hotline.
When you register for Online Banking or Phone Banking, you will get a 10-digit PBN code for Phone Banking and a 6-digit PIN code. HSBC will verify the identity of every customer with the PBN and PIN. You must use these two codes to register for HSBC Online Banking. The registration system will remind you to create a username and password for your online Banking account, which you will use to access Online Banking and other services. Your password is very important. Please view our online security advice before you set up your password.
You can apply for PBN and PIN codes by calling our customer service number: +86 400-820-8878. We will send you the PBN and PIN codes via regular mail and registered mail respectively.
